We win finally have made some steps toward getting moved to the new house!!! We visited the house yesterday and the last piece of the driveway was drying and all that was left was to landscape the front yard. We have been given the green light to start the move!
After a lot of hoop jumping we finally got the military movers all lined up and ready to go. They will be coming to do a pre inspection Tuesday afternoon to determine how much junk we have here. After that Thursday is the day they will actually be here to start packing everything up.
The lady I talked to said we have one full day scheduled and she seemed to think they could pack and load in one day. She obviously hasn't seen our garage.
Anyway, the process should only take a few days at most then we will be unpacking it all in the new house! We are excited beyond belief!
Until then however we get to stress about this house and getting everything done. The kids and the cat have ruined all the blinds which we have to repair ourselves or we will be charged three times their actual value by the housing company. That's exactly what they told us.
We are supposed to mow, trim the edges, pull weeds, fill the holes Jesse's little dog dug, then get charged extraordinary prices for the things we can't fix.
I am not looking forward to Friday which is our final out where we get to find out how much money these people are going to take from us. It's almost $500 in cleaning fees alone.
I'm not too concerned however. We are about to move into the house of our dreams and it would take a lot more than this to ruin my mood.
We again want to give our thanks to Tilson, Operation Finally Home, and everyone else who has had a hand in all of this. We will never be able to show the appreciation we feel. God bless you all!
